Dr. Heidi Macpherson

President, SUNY Brockport

Dr. Heidi Macpherson is the 7th President of SUNY Brockport. She is the Chair of the Willow Domestic Violence Center Board, and serves on the board of United Way of Greater Rochester and the Finger Lakes, and Rochester Rotary, where she is VP for Membership. She previously served as Secretary, Vice President, and President of the Rochester Area Colleges Presidents Network. She also previously served on the Boards of the YWCA of Rochester and Monroe County, Roc the Future Board of Convenors and the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce. She has been a New York Woman of Distinction (2016), Athena Award Winner (2020), and Woman of Excellence (2024). Her latest publication, a collection of poetry entitled Mo(u)rning Rituals, was published in 2024. She is married to Dr. Allan Macpherson. In her spare time, she enjoys theatre, going to the cinema, hiking, creative writing, and walking her Springer Spaniel Rosie. Her most unusual talent is that she can ride a unicycle.
