11:00 am: Check-In
12:00 pm: Welcome
12:15 pm – 1:30 pm: Lunch
1:00 pm: Cake
1:30 pm: Candy guessing game winners announced
2:00 pm: Event concludes

What to Expect

Grab a blanket and some folding camp chairs and join us for an afternoon of food, fun and new friends! Connect with other self-direction families, meet members of EPI’s self direction team and take advantage of yard games and arts and crafts.

We will host this event rain or shine!

Arrival

1. Check in under the big, purple EPI tent.
2. Collect wristbands and food vouchers for everyone in your group.
3. Find a spot for your group at the picnic tables under the shelter or anywhere on the grass. Please bring your own blankets and chairs to create your home base. Note, the area immediately around the shelter is paved, though the rest of the area is grass with some flat areas as well as some inclined areas.

Activities

Bounce house, face painting, t-shirt tie dying, corn hole, coloring station, and more!

Food & Beverages

Hot dogs, hamburgers and other typical picnic food and beverages will be provided by Mr. V’s Catering. Vegetarian options will be available. Guests with additional dietary restrictions are encouraged to make their own arrangements.

Parking & Directions

Parking is available onsite next to our picnic area. The address for Genesee Valley Park is 1000 E River Rd, Rochester, NY 14623. We recommend entering from East River Rd. Click here for a map.
