VENUE

There will be two conference locations: CSIC headquarters and CSIC-IPP building.The first day of the conference will take place at CSIC headquarters’ campus, close to the city center. Having the opening plenary and first debate here, in central Madrid, will also facilitate involvement of high-level officials, policy makers and business representatives.  The sessions on the second and third day will take place at CSIC Centre of Social Sciences and Humanities (CCHS), where the CSIC-IPP is located. This location will give access to enough rooms to organize parallel sessions and is closer to the airport.

DAYS 2 AND 3: CSIC Centre of Social Sciences and Humanities, CCHS, Closer to the airport, better adapted to hold parallel sessions. CCHS is only 15 minutes away from the international airport Adolfo Suarez – Barajas and about 20 minutes from the city center.

HOST

The Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) is Spain’s largest public research institution, and ranks third among Europe’s largest research organizations, with more than 10,000 employees, including more than 3,000 researchers, distributed in 120 Institutes spread across the country and covering different areas of Science and Technology. The Institute of Public Goods and Policies (IPP), located in Madrid, is one of CSIC institutes in the area of social sciences. With more than 25 researchers and technical staff distributed in six research groups working on different aspects of the comparative analysis and understanding of the nature of public goods, the design and implementation of public policies, and the interaction of both, seeking to contribute to the advancement of our knowledge about the relation between society, markets and the State. Some of IPP research interests are directly connected to the interests of the EPIP community, such as environmental economics and systems and policies for research and innovation.
